Install in a minute

  1. DownloadClick the green button above to save Proofly-1.1.1.exe.
  2. Open itDouble-click the file. It installs itself for your Windows account — no admin password needed.
  3. Start typingLook for the green tick in your system tray. Proofly now starts with Windows and checks as you type.
Windows protected your PC? Proofly is new and not yet code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen may show a blue warning the first time. Click More info, then Run anyway. Your browser may also ask you to Keep the download.

What it does

Underlines as you type

spelling · grammar · style. Hover a word to see suggestions and click one to fix it in place.

Accept all

A small badge in the corner of the text box counts the issues. Click it for the full list and fix everything at once.

Proofread anything

Select text in any app and press Ctrl+Alt+G to open it in the Proofly editor, then send the corrected text straight back.

AI rewrite (optional)

Add your own Claude API key to rewrite a paragraph: improve it, make it more formal, friendlier or shorter.

Private where it counts

Password fields are never read. Terminals, code editors and password managers are skipped, and you can switch Proofly off for any app.

Your choice of checker

Uses the LanguageTool service by default. Prefer nothing leaving your PC? Switch to the private on-PC checker or spelling only in Settings.

Updating
Automatic. Proofly checks for new versions every few hours and installs them while you're away from the keyboard, keeping your settings and dictionary. You can also pick Check for updates from the tray menu.
